Our Story

Ruggd Indian was born out of my passion for the outdoors. Being in the wild, with the nature and curiosity about our history and heritage led me to take up Trekking as a hobby. Over the years, I have developed a deep interest in trekking and have done several treks in Maharashtra and a few in the Himalayas in northern India. I am also an avid motorcycle rider, having done many long rides including my solo ride from Delhi to Mumbai on my 180CC Bajaj Pulsar. I have more recently picked up running to enhance my fitness and have started to fall in love with it. I also dabble in a bit of cycling and swimming whenever I get a chance. I love to be in the lap of nature and also volunteer for a group in Mumbai that works on mitigating Man-Animal conflict.

All of the above does not necessarily qualify me to be the founder of Ruggd Indian but they are the basis on which I added my career experience of more than 15 years in various domains and across geographies to create a company that will hopefully manufacture world class products for the outdoor Indian.

We believe that every Indian seeking to be an outdoor person should be wearing the right apparel and having the right set of gears. Quality and Affordability are at the core of the products we create.
